Bangermap, founders edition

$49USD, one payment

Plus any tax required where you live, added at checkout. Nothing renews, and the price rises after the first release while founders keys keep working.

  • A tracked set that re-scans and flags what is new since you last looked
  • Outlier ranking by multiple against each channel's own baseline
  • Every channel you can name, with no per-channel charge
  • Niche sweeps through the channel graph
  • Runs on your own free YouTube API key, so there is no meter
  • Three machine activations, and every update to the app

What the same research costs on per-channel plans is broken down, with vendor sources, on the multi-channel cost page.

Real outliers. Real channels.

Every tile came out of one scan across eight channels, ranked by how far each upload beat its own baseline. That scan cost 24 of the 10,000 API units the free key gives you each day.

Two steps to your free API key

Google gives every account 10,000 API units a day, enough for roughly 1,100 channel scans.

1

Switch on the YouTube Data API

One Google screen creates the project and enables the API. Google asks for 2-step verification on your account first, so turn that on if it is off.

Open the console
2

Create the key and paste it

Bangermap checks the key answers, then starts scanning. The key is stored on your own machine and sent only to Google.

Open the credentials page

Your key stays on your own machine. We never see it.

Common questions

Does it connect to my channel?
No. There is no OAuth and no channel login. Bangermap reads public data only, the same data the API serves to anyone with a key.
How much research does the free quota cover?
Google's default allocation is 10,000 units a day per key. A 200-video scan of one channel costs 9 units, so a day covers roughly 1,100 channels. Keyword search costs 100 units a call, which is why discovery runs through the channel graph instead.
Where does my data live?
On your machine, in a local cache that expires within 30 days so results stay current. Export any result set to CSV whenever you want it elsewhere.
Which machines does it run on?
macOS on Apple Silicon, and Windows 10 or later on x64. Both are a normal install, and your license covers three machines across either platform.
How does the license work?
Your key arrives with the receipt. Paste it on first launch to activate that machine, and release it from Settings when you want the key on a different one. Between checks the app keeps working offline for two weeks. If the receipt goes missing, bangermap.com/license walks you through recovering the key and downloading the app again.
How do updates work?
Settings checks for a new version and installs it in place. Every update is part of the one purchase.
What does it cost?
$49 for the founders edition, one payment, no subscription and no per-channel fee. That price rises once the app is out of its first release, and everyone who buys at $49 keeps their license.
