This explains what stays on your machine, the little that reaches us, and what you can ask us to do with it.

What we do receive
Your email address, if you ask for our emails. We hold it on your consent, you confirm it by clicking a link before anything else is sent, and every message carries a one-click way off the list.
If you buy, your email address, your licence key and the dates you purchased and first activated. We use them to send the key, to help you get a first scan running, and to tell you about releases. Those messages carry the same one-click way off.
Your licence key and a device label when you activate, recheck or release a machine. The label is a random identifier plus the name of your operating system, not your computer's name. We need this to honour the licence you bought, which is the contract between us.
Your purchase details, which are held by Creem, our payment provider and merchant of record. Card numbers never touch our systems.
Ordinary server logs when your browser or the app calls bangermap.com, including the IP address. We keep these briefly to run the service and to stop abuse.

What you can ask for
You can ask for a copy of what we hold, have it corrected or deleted, take it elsewhere, object to how we use it, or withdraw consent at any time. Deleting your activation record releases the licence, so ask for that only when you want the key freed.
Write to support@bangermap.com and we will answer within a month. If we get it wrong you can complain to the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali in Italy, or to the authority where you live.
